You've seen the features list. But what does it actually look like when your organization uses Voluntarius? Here's a walkthrough of how the app works — for volunteers and admins.

Volunteers download your branded app and create an account with their email, Google, or Apple ID. No long forms, no waiting for approval emails. They're in and browsing events within a minute.
The sign-up screen collects what you need — name, phone, email — and nothing you don't. The faster someone goes from "I want to help" to "I'm signed up for Saturday," the more likely they actually show up.

Browse events across multiple locations
Volunteers see upcoming events in a list, on a calendar, or on a map. If your organization operates across multiple locations — different warehouses, distribution sites, offices — each one shows up as a pin on the map. Volunteers pick the location that works for them.
Each event shows the date, time, address, and how many spots are left. Volunteers can see who else has already signed up, which makes a big difference — people are more likely to join when they see others are coming too.

Synced with Google Calendar
Calendar view with Google sync
The built-in calendar shows all upcoming shifts at a glance. Volunteers can sync their shifts directly with Google Calendar, so their volunteer commitments show up alongside work meetings and personal events. No more "I forgot I signed up."
This is one of the simplest ways to reduce no-shows. When a shift is on someone's personal calendar with a reminder, they're far more likely to remember and show up.

See who's coming before you sign up
Each event shows the list of people who've already signed up. This creates social proof — when a volunteer sees that 8 people are already confirmed for Saturday morning, joining feels like joining a team, not showing up alone to an unknown situation.
For returning volunteers, it means they can see if their regular crew is coming. That social connection is one of the strongest drivers of consistent attendance.

Hi! I signed up for Saturday's shift. Where should I park?
9:14 AM

9:16 AM
Perfect, thanks! And should I bring anything?
9:17 AM
Just comfortable shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We provide gloves!

In-app messaging
Volunteers and coordinators can message each other directly inside the app. No more scattered communication across email, WhatsApp, and text messages. Questions about parking, what to wear, or shift changes get answered in one place.
For admins: full control from one dashboard
As an admin, you manage everything from the app. Here's what that looks like day to day:
Create locations
Add your sites — warehouses, distribution points, offices. Each location gets its own events and volunteer pool.
Manage sign-up requests
When volunteers request to join a location, you see the request and can accept or reject with one tap. You control who has access to what.
Organize groups
Create groups for different teams, roles, or locations. Add or remove members as your program grows.
Review registered users
See all registered volunteers, their status, and activity. Accept new volunteers or flag inactive ones — all from one screen.

Notifications that keep everyone on track
The app sends push notifications for shift reminders, new events, messages, and schedule changes. Volunteers control their notification preferences in settings — they choose what they want to hear about and how often.
For coordinators, this replaces the weekly "don't forget about Saturday" email blast that nobody reads. Automated, timed reminders through push notifications get seen — and they work.
Your brand, not ours
The app is published under your organization's name with your logo and branding. Your volunteers see your identity, not ours. It's your app — we just build and maintain it.
Available on both iOS and Android, deployed to the App Store and Google Play under your organization's listing.
Some features missing? We can build it for you
Every organization works differently. If you need something that's not in the app yet — a custom report, a specific workflow, an integration with a tool you already use — we build it for you. No waiting for a feature request to make it onto a public roadmap. You tell us what you need, and we make it happen.
